About

BIOGRAPHY:
I am a local artist and full-time high school art teacher who resides and makes work in my home studio in Lancaster City. I am a firm believer in my role of having dual identities as teacher and artist: both informing the other to drive my two career focuses in life. As a high school art teacher I absolutely love teaching and find working with young artists invigorating, inspiring, and challenging. As an artist and teacher I regularly work on the balance of public and private, extrovert and introvert, instructor and maker: all cyclically informing one another. My work straddles the line between my imagination and the world I walk through daily, finding whimsy and curiosity in the smallest of inspirations. In addition to making and teaching art I love hiking, gardening, swimming, groundhogs, cooking, blankets, gummies, patterns, traveling, vegetables, tiny things, yoga, my friends, my family, my dogs Poncho and Lincoln, and my artist-husband Jeremy.
